Who we are
The New Bill of Rights project was started by Michael Hamilton, Founder. The foundation itself doesn't formally exist yet: incorporation as the New Bill of Rights Foundation is planned for 2026, and the founding donor round is what starts it. As the founding board forms, directors will be listed here.
Michael was raised in the Southern US, educated in Georgia and Alabama public schools, and received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and a Master of Science in Technology and Policy from MIT. He is an Eagle Scout and a dedicated American citizen at heart. His career is in clean energy and electricity technology and project development. Michael lives in Los Angeles with his lovely and smart wife and young son, who attends public school at an LAUSD school.
How this project works
Research → polling → salon → draft. Each category starts as an internal research document, gets tested against published cross-party polling, gets argued about in person, and only then becomes draft constitutional text — and only if it passes the full-spectrum bar. Everything, including what fails, is published in the evidence.
